About John Anderson Construction, Inc.
John Anderson is a lifelong resident of Warren, PA. He graduated from Warren Area High School in 1980 and Grove City College in 1984. He spent a brief time as a Securities Advisor after college. In 1985, he went to work for a small concrete contractor as a laborer, finisher, and equipment operator.
John Anderson Construction was started in 1989. JAC was a small company that primarily worked for residential customers doing various concrete jobs. The business expanded yearly and soon became a concrete and excavation company with a residential and commercial customer base.
JAC evolved into a site/concrete contractor that was doing waterline/sewerline/stormwater work along with concrete and earth moving/excavation jobs.
In 2008 JAC expanded into the gas line market. JAC started in the plastic/distribution work for National Fuel. John Shelley was hired in October of 2008 to be the head of the Gas Division.
The year 2010 offered another opportunity for expansion with all of the Marcellus Shale activity. JAC took full advantage of the opportunity to grow by expanding into the steel pipeline and compressor station work. More skilled employees and equipment were added and the company continued to grow.
Today, JAC has an Earthwork Division, Concrete Division, Pipeline Division, and Facilities Division. There are approximately 70 full-time employees. Equipment includes 20 excavators ranging in size from 7000 lbs. to 80,000 lbs., 10 dozers ranging in size from 16,000 lbs. to 95,000 lbs., pipe benders up to 24”, and all the trucks, trailers, and support equipment to handle multimillion dollar projects.
JAC has completed several concrete projects of several thousand cubic yards of concrete. Several projects have been completed that have involved road build, rock demolition, moving of thousands of yards of dirt. JAC has installed several miles of steel and flexsteel pipe up to 36” diameter and completed several compressor installs.
JAC is a growing company that can offer all the services of much larger companies with the care and customer service of a family owned business. JAC has an excellent history of repeat business. The first time JAC works for someone is never the last.
